Real estate isn't just big business in the real world. It also gets play in the virtual world. Real estate business giant Coldwell Banker has a real estate office on the popular virtual reality game Second Life. And real estate Second Life isn't just about building brand recognition. Some real estate professionals are recognizing the innovative value the game offers to participants, even in terms of market research, of sorts. Inman News reports:

Virtual worlds could help real estate professionals and owners try out new ideas and assess how they might be applied in the real world. Experimentation generates feedback as to how people respond to innovations. Alternate realities also could suggest new ways to solve seemingly intractable problems and offer forums in which to test and refine those solutions.
